SEO Project #1 - Building BackLinks - Update #6
I spent a few hours today using Fast Blog Finder to find blogs related to my project site. I was able to find several posts that I felt I could add to the discussion. I left comments with anchor text that targeted my keywords and linked back to my project site. In all, I was able to find 25 - 30 blogs to leave comments on.
Let me say, I’m not interested in leaving spam in hopes of getting a few links. My rule of thumb, if I am not willing to check the “subscribe to comments box” and follow up with the discussion, I will not leave a comment.

As long as you contribute to the conversation, I don’t think you should worry about being tagged as a spammer.

Thanks for stopping by.
I’ve been really selective about the blogs I leave comments on. So far, I’ve found a few new blogs that I have subscribed to and have been able to share views with other bloggers that are involved in my niche.
These comment posting tools can really be used for good or bad. It all depends on the intent of the person using them.
