About
My name is Brent Crouch. I live in Middle Tennessee with my wife Priscilla, daugther Jillian, and son Jordan.
In 2000, my wife and I started using eBay to sell physical products out of our home. Our first year in business, our business had brought in a total of $25,000 in revenue. We quickly realized there might be some potential here.
In December of 2003, we had our first $10,000 month. I remember feeling like "we had arrived", but wondering if it was possible our business could continue to grow.
We ended 2007 with gross revenue of more than $1,250,000.00. I like writing it with all those zeros, but if you have trouble seeing my commas, it is 1.25 Million. Not only does every month produce considerably more than $10,000, we sometimes have single days that produce more than $10,000. So the answer to my question in 2003, "Can our business continue to grow", is a resounding Yes.
The trouble with selling physical products is it isn't much different than having a job. We are tied down to a physical office / warehouse with employees to manage. It doesn't offer the freedom of running a digital products / affiliate / Adsense business.
Since early 2007, I've been devoting my free time to developing a business that I could operate from anywhere in the world. This blog is a notebook to document that journey and other things that interest me. The topics I post about vary considerably and unlike most blogs, I don't have any goals of staying on topic.

My card pays 1% back on every purchase I make. Each month I get a check for $500 – $600. I’ve been passing the checks to my 6 year old for her college savings. So far she has 5 figures and growing.
Anyone that wants to know can email me and I’ll get you the card company name.
Good Post and Cool Credit Limit!

I just launched my first site, seeing alot of affiliate marketing sites out there. Got any advise for someone who just dove in head first not knowing if there is any water in the pool?
@Scott – Looks like we live in the same part of the world. I’m in middle TN.
The pool is empty for most people. There are tons of sites out here that will dazzle you with B.S. I’m not that guy. If I don’t know it, I will not pretend to.
The overwhelming majority of my income comes from selling physical products online. In just the past year, I’ve become interested in affiliate / digital offerings. I’ve been able to build an income of $2,000 plus a month with affiliate products, but I would not consider myself an expert in this field.
The best pieces of advice I can give you are:
1. Read Perry Marshall’s Ultimate Guide to Google Adwords. It is much more than an Adwords book. I believe you could build a business just from what you learn from this book.
2. Build a list of subscribers that you can email.
3. Purchase this course from IMC. It is $200 but is well worth the money. I’ve made more than $50,000 building a single site. I got the idea from reading this course.

Stay in touch. We live in the same part of the world. Maybe at some point we can have lunch and compare notes.
Tell me about your coupon site.
Brent,
You said you are doing apparel business. I am from Sri Lanka and you know Sri Lanka is renowned for Quality garments.
How about doing Sri Lankan Garment business?
Note:
Frankly I am not a business type of a guy. I am a Programmer by profession, but after seeing your post about Chinese garments, I though to write that, because there few of my friends are in garment export trade.
Can you email me a few websites of what your friends are selling? I primarily sell leather jackets and purses. I’d be interested to see what they have.

I agree Perry’s ultimate guide to Adwords is the best start for people getting started in PPC advertising. Has saved me thousands.
