Jordan Brent Crouch is Born Today!

14 December 2007

All 8 pounds 9 ounces of little Jordan Brent Crouch was born today! This is my second child and first son. I couldn’t be any more thankful for a healthy boy. I’d love to have just two more.
Jordan was born by c-section. I got to see the whole thing. It […]

Adding the Red Background to No Follow Links Firefox 2.0.0.6

18 September 2007

When I upgraded to Firefox 2.0.0.6 I lost the red highlights over the nofollow links. I liked the ability to see what links were nofollow and what links passed page rank.
The solution to adding the red highlights is pretty simple.
First download and activate the add-on located below.
ChromeEdit
Then go to Tools - Chrome Edit Plus […]

Must Have Website Design / Layout - Color Tools

18 September 2007

Web design isn’t one of my strong points.  I can build any web page I want, I just don’t know what looks good.
Most of the time, I just hire a designer from a service like Elance.  But that isn’t always practical.  I read a blog post recently that stated it is impossible to hire someone […]

Free Terms of Use / Terms of Service for your Website

18 September 2007

If you don’t have a posted Terms of Service for your website, you should. Even if you are operating a site for fun, it is best to protect yourself. You always take the chance that someone will take something you post, misuse it and expect you to pay the damages.

There is 24 hour security to keep the looters away. I hear they are planning […]

Abraham Lincoln’s Letter to his LAZY Stepbrother John D. Johnston

07 September 2007

I ran across this letter written by President Abraham Lincoln to his “LAZY” stepbrother John D. Johnston. I think I will keep it and send it to the next person that asks me for money. I love the satire. “I’m not saying you are lazy, but I don’t think you’ve ever done […]

Workaholic to Playaholic Overnight

24 June 2007

I’m no stranger to hard work. There have been a few times that I’ve noticed the sun come up and realize, Opps, I never left work last night! For the most part, it isn’t work if you enjoy it, and I have been lucky enough to enjoy building my own business for the […]

Is Godaddy a good domain registrar?

31 May 2007

Maybe I am a little naïve, but when I decided on a domain registrar the three factors that I considered important were price, customer service, and the control panel. Did I leave out something more important? Yeah, probably so.
If you don’t know, Godaddy is the largest domain registrar in the world. According […]

Keep Screen Resolution in Mind when Designing your Website

25 April 2007

If you don’t design web pages everyday, it can be easy to forget what your site looks like on your computer, may not be the way it looks on your customer’s computer. I experienced this issue earlier today.
I have been setting up some new websites recently using my laptop. It has the screen […]
